Keep the Swim Magic Going
Fall lessons give swimmers the opportunity to maintain the confidence and skills they built over the summer while continuing to develop technique, independence, and water safety through consistent one-on-one instruction.
“My 9-year-old daughter had never felt comfortable floating on her back and would often panic. During her very first lesson with Maddie, Maddie playfully explained our bodies’ natural buoyancy through a ‘statue game.’ She then encouraged my daughter to float on her back and look up for birds and planes, and within ten minutes, she was doing it without panicking.
Later, while her brother was having his lesson, my daughter was still playing in the pool. A helicopter flew overhead and we all pointed it out. Without any prompting, she immediately floated onto her back to watch it for around 12 seconds.
THAT’S the Palmer Swim Method with Maddie.”

About the Westwood Pool

The pool measures approximately 18 ft × 40 ft and is heated to around 82°F, creating a comfortable setting for lessons throughout the fall. Because the pool is fully enclosed, lessons are not dependent on outdoor temperature, rain, or fading daylight.
Large skylights and glass panels fill the space with natural light during the afternoon. As daylight fades, the pool takes on a soft, atmospheric evening glow, creating a calm and almost magical setting for later lessons.
